Every account climbs the same ladder: a real phone number, a live selfie matched to your face, and, for those who want the gold check, a government ID. Here is what each step checks, what it unlocks, and what never leaves the process.
Tier 0 · the door
Enough to look, not enough to be seen.
A real, working phone number gets you through the door. You can browse and build your own profile, but you appear in nobody's deck and earn nothing. You're invisible until you take the next step. That is deliberate: it means every face you will ever see has already passed the step below.
Tier 1 · the face
A live selfie, matched to every photo.
A short liveness check, a blink or a turn of the head, ties your face to your account in real time. That face is then matched against every photo on your profile. Pass, and you unlock swiping, matching, chat, and every perk earned with attention.
Add or change a photo later and it gets checked again, automatically. A photo that doesn't match stays hidden until it passes, and repeated failures take the badge back.
The face in the photos is the face on the call.
Tier 2 · the gold check
One ID. One account. One human.
A government ID gets tied to one account, forever. The date of birth on the document is cross-checked against the one you signed up with, and a document that has already opened an account gets rejected. This is the strongest promise on the platform, and the only way to activate Premium.

Why do you need my government ID?
A phone number can be bought in bulk, and a face can be faked with the right filter. A government ID is the strongest proof a country issues that you are one real, accountable person, and it's the only way we can promise one ID equals one account.
Can I stay at Tier 1 forever?
Yes. Tier 1 unlocks swiping, matching, chat and every perk you earn with attention. ID verification is only required if you want the gold check and Premium.
What happens if I change my photos?
Every new or edited photo gets face-matched again automatically. A photo that doesn't match your verified face stays hidden until it passes, and enough failed matches in a short window can cost you your badge.
How do I revoke biometric consent?
In settings. Revoking deletes your verification references and returns your account to Tier 0. You can re-verify any time you're ready.
